This coffee drink and yesterdays was inspired by a local coffee shop that offers a cherry cordial latte. After many tires to create these drinks and the syrup that goes with them I now can save some money and make them at home all year round.
Because this is an iced drink the chocolate does not stay fully melted. In the final drink you end up with little bits of chocolate, which I loved.
Chocolate Covered Cherry Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon dark chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons water
- 7 tablespoons cold brew coffee
- 5 tablespoons simple cherry syrup
- coffee ice cubes
Directions:
- In a glass measuring cup add the chocolate chips and microwave for 10 seconds. Stir the chocolate chips until melted, if needed microwave in 5 second intervals, stirring after each time.
- Slowly pour in the water while stirring constantly. Continue to stir until completely mixed.
- Stir in the coffee, cherry syrup and milk.
- Add coffee ice cubes to a glass and pour coffee mixture over top.
Notes:
The water to cold brew ratio is what I typically use. You may need to adjust the ratio depending on how you make your cold brew or how strong you make your cold brew.
