The traditional chicken cordon bleu is French and requires some work to prepare. You need to pound your chicken breast until thin and then layer each breast with thin sliced ham and Swiss cheese. Then the chicken is rolled up and secured with toothpicks. Then you have to dredge the chicken in flour, eggs and bread crumbs and chill in the fridge. Then in a skillet the chicken is cooked until browned. After the chicken is cooked a gravy is made in the skillet.
