I love the flavor roasted vegetables. I could eat roasted vegetables every night, however that would mean lots of trips to the grocery store in a month and that is something that is not going to happen. So, one day I got to thinking if I could roast some frozen broccoli. Instead of just trying it, I decided to research if it would even work. I was worried that frozen broccoli would have too much moisture and would turn to mush.
Turns out roasting frozen broccoli is possible and it tastes delicious. Now to play around with different seasonings and roasting other vegetables.
Frozen Roasted Broccoli
Ingredients:
- 1 pound frozen broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 teaspoon paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, slightly heaping
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed, slightly heaping
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, slightly heaping
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400º F. Spread the frozen broccoli onto a baking sheet.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the florets.
- In a small bowl stir together the seasonings and sprinkle over top of the florets. Toss the florets until well coated.
- Roast for 20 minutes, stir the broccoli and roast for an additional 10 minutes or until the broccoli is roasted to your liking.
Enjoy!!!
