I haven't made this pork in a long time, because family is not big fans of pork. When I went to remake the recipe that sauce came out considerably lighter. I could not figure out why. The only thing I changed was instead of using low sodium chicken broth I used salt free. Not sure if that is the reason why, but it still tasted good.
Since the last time I made this pork, I have also gotten a new crock pot. It is one of those that can be used like a stove top or a slow cooker. One of my girl put the crock pot on when they got home from school, but my time calculations of when they get home and how long it takes to cook was off, so the pork wasn't suppose to be done until 9:00. I decided to check on it around 6 and to my surprise it was done. I have had problems with my meat being dry in the crock pot and knew it cooked faster than most recipes state, but never imagined it would cook things in about half of the time. I think I need to start looking at crock pots to find one that is truly a slow cooker. Anybody have any they recommend?
