Normally I use fresh green beans when making this vegetable, this time I wanted to try frozen. I would not recommend using frozen. It's not that they were not good, but there were issues with breading them and fresh just tasted way better.
While I was experimenting with frozen green beans I also tried using dried basil instead of fresh. Lately I have been having a hard time finding fresh basil. Dried worked perfectly, I added 1/2 tablespoon. You can adjust the amount to your personal preference.
