Sweet Cream Pancakes

Sweet Cream Pancakes: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I ate these pancakes without anything on them because they were so good and perfectly sweet. I am in love with the taste of these pancakes! I have to say I was surprised how much the sweetness from the heavy cream really came though in these pancakes. I wasn’t really expecting to enjoy them as much as I did without any toppings on them.

Sweet Cream Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat a griddle.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar.
  3. In another large bowl whisk together the eggs, vanilla and heavy cream.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until mixed. The batter will be thick because of the heavy cream, if desired add a little bit of milk to thin.
  5. Place 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle and gently spread into an even layer.
  6. Cook until bubbles begin to appear and the pancake is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancakes over and cook on the other side until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
Yields about 12 pancakes.
