Habanero Turkey Chili

Habanero Chili: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This hot chili still has plenty of flavor despite being spicy hot from the habanero. It is also a very meaty chili.

Despite making three recipes with habaneros I still have several habaneros left in my freezer. So, if you happen to have any habanero recipes I would love for you to share them with me.

Habanero Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 habanero, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 15 ounce can black beans (do not drain)
  • 15 ounce can kidney beans (do not drain)
  • 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, add the ground turkey and onions, cook over medium-high heat until the turkey is completely cooked and onions are softened.
  2. Stir in the garlic and habanero, cooking for 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant, stirring frequently.
  3. Stir in the chili powder and paprika, cooking for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add in both beans and the tomatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chili is heated through, about 10 minutes.
Enjoy!!!
