Eggnog Pudding

Egg Nog Pudding: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Egg nog pudding tastes exactly how you think it would taste, like pudding with egg nog flavor. Plus this homemade pudding is smooth, thick and creamy, just how pudding should be.

Eggnog Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 1/4 cups eggnog
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. In a medium pot, whisk together the sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Gradually whisk in the eggnog and egg yolks until well combined.
  3. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the pudding comes to a boil and thickens.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer the pudding to a medium bowl and place plastic wrap directly on the pudding, this will prevent a skin from forming.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until the pudding has set up.
  7. When ready to serve, use an electric mixer to whisk the heavy cream, remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  8. Divide the pudding between 4 bowls and top each serving with whipped cream.
Enjoy!!!
