Grapefruit Smoothie

Grapefruit Smoothie: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Lately I have been craving grapefruit and that made me think about making a grapefruit smoothie.

This smoothie definitely had the grapefruit flavor I was looking for. It was nice and tart with a subtle sweetness. I used a whole grapefruit because I love grapefruit and really wanted the flavor to shine, but if you do not like things as tart you can use half a grapefruit.

Grapefruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 grapefruit, peeled
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Directions:

  1. Break the grapefruit apart into sections and add to a blender.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
If you feel a whole grapefruit may be too tart for you, start with a half and taste the smoothie. Blend in more grapefruit is desired after tasting.
