Italian Sausage and Ravioli Casserole: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This casserole is so easy to prepare and tastes so delicious! Plus it only requires six ingredients. I don't think it gets any better than that.

Italian Sausage and Ravioli Casserole: Savory Sweet and Satisfying


Italian Sausage and Ravioli Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 26 ounces pasta sauce
  • 25 ounces frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

Directions:

  1. Preheat and oven to 350º F.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, diced onions and garlic until the sausage is completely cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the pasta sauce.
  4. In a 9x13 baking dish spread 1 cup of the sausage mixture.
  5. Place 1/2 of the ravioli on top and sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese.
  6. Place the remaining ravioli on top followed by the rest of the sausage mixture and then the remaining cheese.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is completely heated through.
  8. Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
