Crock Pot Pizza Tater Tot Casserole

As much as I love crock pot recipes, they have one major downfall. I can not use them to have dinner ready when I get home from work. I leave the house at 7 in the morning and get home at 5:30. I do not know of many crock pot recipes that cook for 10 1/2 hours. It is so frustrating! Being able to have dinner ready when I got home from work would make life so much easier.

So I will have to settle for super easy recipes like this one on the weekends. On the bright side using my crock pot on the weekend allows me to spend more time with family and relaxing instead of being in the kitchen.

With this recipe you can always add in any additional pizza toppings that you desire, like mushrooms.

Crock Pot Pizza Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
  • 10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 14 ounces pizza sauce
  • pepperoni slices
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 32 ounce bag frozen tater tots

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the ground turkey and onions until the ground turkey is completely cooked and crumbled.
  2. Add both cans of soup and stir to mix well.
  3. Lightly spray a crock pot with cooking spray.
  4. Transfer the ground turkey mixture into the crock pot and spread into an even layer.
  5. Place an even layer of pepperoni slices on top.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese on top.
  7. Top with the tater tops.
  8. Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
If you want to add additional toppings place them on top of the pepperoni before adding the cheese.

I used turkey pepperoni and my homemade Easy Authentic Pizza Sauce.
