Wow, this popcorn is amazing! So amazing that I ate way more of it than I should have, but I just could not stop eating it. Air popped popcorn coated with white chocolate and mixed with crushed Oreos. If you love Oreos and the cookies and cream flavor then you will love this popcorn!
Cookies and Cream Popcorn
Ingredients:
- 12 cups air popped popcorn, about 1/2 cup kernels
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons shortening
- 15 Oreos, crushed
Directions:
- Pop the popcorn with an air popper. Remove any un-popped kernels and spread the popcorn out on a large baking sheet with sides that is lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl add the white chocolate chips and shortening.
- Microwave for 30 seconds and stir well. Microwave again for 30 and stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and sprinkle the Oreos over top.
- Gently fold the popcorn until it is evenly coated with the white chocolate and Oreos.
