Maple Bacon Pancakes

Maple Bacon Pancakes: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Pancakes flavored with maple syrup is delicious enough, but with bacon added to the batter it makes them even better. Plus the pancakes are topped with more bacon and maple syrup for super delicious pancakes.

Maple Bacon Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 16 slices bacon, cooked

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  2. In another medium bowl whisk together the milk and egg until well blended. Add in the maple syrup and applesauce, stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and whisk together just until mixed, do not over mix.
  4. Crumble in 12 slices of bacon and stir to combine.
  5. Set batter aside while you preheat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat.
  6. Scoop out 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle and cook for 3-6 minutes or until lightly browned. Flip the pancakes and cook on the other side for 3-6 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Crumble the remaining bacon and serve over the pancakes with additional maple syrup.

Notes:
I used low sodium turkey bacon.

This recipe make 16 pancakes.
