Cilantro Citrus Rice

Cilantro and Citrus Rice: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Brown rice is cooked with a bay leaf for some subtle flavor. Then cilantro, lemon juice and lime juice is added to give it more flavor. 

Cilantro Citrus Rice

Ingredients:

  • 12 cups water
  • 2 cups brown rice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon dried cilantro
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Add the water to a large pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add in the rice and bay leaf, stirring to combine. Boil the rice, uncovered, for 12 minutes.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat and drain the rice through a fine mesh strainer and rinse with hot water, removing the bay leaf. Transfer the rice to a large serving bowl and add the cilantro, lime juice and lemon juice, stir to combine.
