Brown rice is cooked with a bay leaf for some subtle flavor. Then cilantro, lemon juice and lime juice is added to give it more flavor.
Cilantro Citrus Rice
Ingredients:
- 12 cups water
- 2 cups brown rice
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 tablespoon dried cilantro
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
- Add the water to a large pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add in the rice and bay leaf, stirring to combine. Boil the rice, uncovered, for 12 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and drain the rice through a fine mesh strainer and rinse with hot water, removing the bay leaf. Transfer the rice to a large serving bowl and add the cilantro, lime juice and lemon juice, stir to combine.
