Horseradish Cheddar Burger

Horseradish Cheddar Burger: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

It's no surprise that this burger was made shortly after I found the recipe for it. You see, I love horseradish. So the idea of combining horseradish with cheese and adding it to a burger sounded amazing!

Horseradish Cheddar Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons jarred horseradish
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato slices
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl add the ground turkey and black pepper. Mix by hand and shape into 4 patties. Cook the patties your preferred way.
  2. While the burgers are cooking, in a medium bowl stir together the cream cheese, horseradish and shredded cheese.
  3. About 2 minutes before the burgers are done top with desired amount horseradish sauce. Watch carefully, because the sauce is soft and will melt down the burgers.
  4. On the bottom half of the bun place some lettuce and a tomato slice. Place the burger on top and add more horseradish sauce if desired. Top with top half of bun.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
Make sure you get prepared horseradish, found in the refrigerated section, usually near cheese or sour cream. You do not want horseradish sauce that is unrefrigerated, this has things added to it like sour cream, or mayonnaise.

If you do not want as much horseradish flavor only use 3 tablespoons.

This makes a fair amount of sauce. I added some to the burger while it was cooking and the rest to the top of the bun. This did cause the topping to ooze out while eating, so use as much or little as you would like.
