It's no surprise that this burger was made shortly after I found the recipe for it. You see, I love horseradish. So the idea of combining horseradish with cheese and adding it to a burger sounded amazing!
Horseradish Cheddar Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 tablespoons jarred horseradish
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- lettuce
- tomato slices
- 4 hamburger buns
Directions:
- In a large bowl add the ground turkey and black pepper. Mix by hand and shape into 4 patties. Cook the patties your preferred way.
- While the burgers are cooking, in a medium bowl stir together the cream cheese, horseradish and shredded cheese.
- About 2 minutes before the burgers are done top with desired amount horseradish sauce. Watch carefully, because the sauce is soft and will melt down the burgers.
- On the bottom half of the bun place some lettuce and a tomato slice. Place the burger on top and add more horseradish sauce if desired. Top with top half of bun.
