Delicious s'mores in a less messy bar form. Golden Graham cereal is mixed with melty marshmallows and mini marshmallows, you can never have too many marshmallows in a treat like this. Then topped with delicious milk chocolate Hershey bar pieces.
I took this treat to a church pot luck and it was gone within minutes. The batch I made for my family did not last too long either and I already have requests to make them again really soon.
S'Mores Bars
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 8 cups mini marshmallows, divided
- 8 cups Golden Grahams cereal
- 3-1.55 oz. Hershey's Milk Chocolate bars, broken into individual pieces
Directions:
- Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large pot, over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add in 6 1/2 cups mini marshmallows and stir until completed melted and combined with the butter.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add in the cereal. Stir to mix.
- Add in the remaining 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows and stir just until evenly distributed.
- Quickly place half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down into an even layer.
- Place half of the individual Hershey bar pieces on top.
- Place the remaining graham cereal mixture on top of the chocolate and press down into an even layer.
- Place the remaining individual Hershey bar pieces on top and press them down slightly so they stick.
- Let the S'Mores bars sit at room temperature for several hours to set up or you can speed up this process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- Once the bars have set up cut into pieces.
Yields: about 24 pieces
