Pizza Breakfast Bagel

Pizza Breakfast Bagel: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Back in the day when I used to buy frozen snacks and appetizers my husband and I were divided on which pizza ones to get. My husbands favorite was, and well still is, pizza bagels. Mine was pizza rolls.

So when I came across a recipe for a breakfast pizza bagel, I knew there was a very good chance my husband would like it. Plus it had jalapeños on it and I can never resist a dish with some spice in it.

Pizza Breakfast Bagel

Ingredients:

  • 1 bagel
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 2 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 3 fresh jalapeño slices
  • 3 slices of turkey pepperoni
  • 2 eggs
  • black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400º F. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the bagel in half and place in prepared baking dish.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce on each bagel half.
  4. Shred the cheese or cut into small cubes and spread evenly between the two bagel halves.
  5. Place the jalapeño slices and pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  6. Crack and egg into the middle of each bagel half and season with black pepper to taste.
  7. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until the yolk is cooked to your liking.
