Zesty Crisp Chicken

Zesty Crisp Chicken: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

The soy sauce adds great flavor to the chicken, even though it is only briefly dipped in it. It is amazing how such a simple dish can provide such great flavor.

Zesty Crisp Chicken


  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs


  1. Preheat oven to 350ยบ F. Place a cooling rack sprayed with cooking spray on a baking sheet.
  2. Cut chicken breasts in half horizontally, making four chicken breasts.
  3. In a shallow bowl combine the egg and soy sauce.
  4. Place the panko in another shallow bowl.
  5. Dip chicken breasts into the egg soy sauce mixture and then coat with panko.
  6. Place chicken breasts on prepared cooling rack and bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is completely cooked.
