I made these nachos using what I had in the house. I saw the idea and immediately had to make them. Thankfully I had a bag of frozen fries in the freezer.
My whole family loved these and they made a great snack for family night. I am already thinking of the toppings I want to add next time and that is why I love nachos so much, the ability to add as many and whatever toppings you like.
Nacho Fries
Ingredients:
- 1 pound frozen french fries
- 1 pound ground chorizo
- 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
- pickled jalapeños
- diced tomatoes
- sliced black olives
- sliced green onions
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375º F.
- Place the frozen fries on a baking sheet and bake until just about crispy.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble to chorizo until completely cooked. Drain any fat.
- Remove the fries and top with the cooked chorizo. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Place the baking sheet back in the oven and cook until the cheese is melted.
- Top with the jalapeños, diced tomatoes, black olives and green onions.
Enjoy!!!
