Dulce de Leche Iced Coffee

Dulce de Leche Iced Coffee: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I've said it before and I will say it again, I love dulce de leche. I love it more than I love caramel. So it only made sense I would eventually use it in a coffee drink. If I hadn't had a little bit leftover from another recipe, than this coffee would not have been created.

I was trying to figure out what to do with a little bit of dulce de leche left, when it hit me. I have just enough for a coffee drink. What a delicious was to use up dulce de leche, except I only had enough to make this drink once. I guess I need to buy some more.

Dulce de Leche Iced Coffee: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Since dulce de leche is much thicker than caramel, it was hard to mix. It took a bit of work to mix it in with the coffee. I started out with 1/2 cup of coffee and had to mash, stir, whisk quite a bit to mix it in. Maybe next time should try a hand mixer. After really working to mix it in, I strained the coffee to make sure I did not have any chucks, but unfortunately I did. So I mixed the remaining chunks with the milk to make a delicious frothy dulce milk topping. Took some work for make this coffee, but it was all worth it.
