Italian Sub Sandwiches: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

A soft Italian bun filled with an easy homemade Italian dressing, various Italian meats and Italian cheese. The homemade Italian dressing on this sandwich is not only easy, but so delicious and makes a great addition to this sandwich.

Italian Sub Sandwiches: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I love trying out new Italian meats in sandwiches like this. Thanks to Costco, they sell a pack of Italian meats and it makes it easy and less expensive to try new meats in a delicious sandwich like this.

Italian Sub Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Italian Sub Dressing

  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil

Italian Sub Sandwiches

  • 6 soft Italian sub buns, sliced in half horizontally
  • 18 slices sandwich pepperoni
  • 18 slices genoa salami
  • 12 slices sopressata dry sausage
  • 12 slices capocollo
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese, cut in half
  • 6 slices provolone cheese, cut in half
  • lettuce
  • sliced tomatoes

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, red pepper flakes, vinegar and olive oil until well combined.
  2. Spoon some of the dressing onto the top and bottom halves of the buns.
  3. Place the provolone cheese on the bottom halves of the buns followed by the pepperoni, salami, sopressata, capocollo and the mozzarella cheese. Add on the lettuce and tomatoes if desired and place top bun on.
Enjoy!!!
