A little sweet, a little spicy and 30 minutes for this easy meal.
Ground Turkey Mongolian Noodles
Ingredients:
- 10 ounces spaghetti noodles
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 green onions, sliced
Directions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente and drain well.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey breaking it up as it cooks, until completely cooked. Drain any liquid.
- Add in the brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, red pepper flakes and ginger. Stir until well combined.
- In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water until well mixed. Pour into the skillet and stir until well mixed. Bring the mixture to a low boil, stirring often. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce has thickened.
- Add the drained noodles to the skillet, stirring to combine. Allow the noodles and sauce to sit for a few minutes before serving,
- Sprinkle green onions over top, if desired.
