Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken: Savory Sweet and Satisfying
 
I love a chicken recipe that can be prepared quickly and does not need much attention to cook. That leaves me more time to make a delicious side dish. It also helps when the chicken is flavorful.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme and parsley.
  2. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with the seasoning mixture.
  3. In a large skillet, over medium heat, add in the butter and olive oil. Allow the butter to melt.
  4. Add in the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook until the other side is golden, about 6 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of garlic powder into the skillet and pour in the lime juice. Allow to cook for 5 minutes, moving the chicken around often to coat in the juice.
