I love a chicken recipe that can be prepared quickly and does not need much attention to cook. That leaves me more time to make a delicious side dish. It also helps when the chicken is flavorful.
Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
Directions:
- In a small bowl, stir together the black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme and parsley.
- Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with the seasoning mixture.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, add in the butter and olive oil. Allow the butter to melt.
- Add in the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook until the other side is golden, about 6 minutes.
- Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of garlic powder into the skillet and pour in the lime juice. Allow to cook for 5 minutes, moving the chicken around often to coat in the juice.
