This egg is perfect for any bunny lovers or for Easter time. My youngest daughter who is a bunny lover like I am enjoyed this egg. The hardest part of this cute egg is actually making the egg. My husband makes the "dippy eggs" as we call them in out house. He prefers to flip the egg over to make dippy eggs, but there are ways to make dippy eggs without flipping them over and your yolk will be a brighter yellow color for the bunnies nose and I will include the directions below.
Bunny Eggs
Ingredients:
- 4 slices low sodium turkey bacon
- 4 eggs
- 24 pieces shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 blueberries
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and place on a paper towel lined plate. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings in the skillet.
- Carefully crack the eggs into the skillet, working in batches if needed. Cover the skillet and cook 4-6 minutes or until the whites are completely set and the yolks are cooked to your liking.
- Place the eggs on a plate and carefully break the bacon in half and place under the eggs at the top for the bunnies ears. Add three pieces of cheese on each side of the yolk for the bunnies whiskers and two blueberries above the yolk for the eggs.
Enjoy!!!
