Alfredo sauce is a dairy based sauce that is made with cream, butter and cheese. Combine the cheesy sauce with three additional cheeses and you have a creamy, cheesy pasta dish. This may not be the healthiest dish, but it sure is a tasty one.
Three Cheese Italian Sausage Alfredo Bake
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces penne pasta
- 1 1/2 pounds Italian sausage
- 22 ounces Alfredo sauce
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 4 teaspoons dried parsley
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350º F. Lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and return to the pot.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, over medium high heat, cook the sausage until completely cooked. Drain any fat.
- To the pasta add the cooked sausage, Alfredo sauce, sour cream, ricotta, garlic, eggs, parmesan cheese and parsley. Stir until well mixed. Pour the pasta into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
