In my family we do not eat a lot of beef. I substitute all ground beef with ground turkey. With this casserole you could use you ground meat of your choice. That is one reason I like casseroles, because they are so easy to customize.
This casserole was creamy and just all around delicious. But how could it not be when it contains a whole container of french onion dip.
French Onion Turkey Casserole
Ingredients:
- 10 ounces wide egg noodles
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2- 10.75 ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 15 ounces french onion dip
- 1 cup french fried onions
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the noodles according to the package directions and drain.
- In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the ground turkey until completely cooked.
- Add in the cream of mushroom soups and french onion dip. Stir until well combined. Stir in the egg noodles.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the fried onions on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is heated through.
