My oldest daughters favorite vegetable happens to be peas. That also happens to be my husbands least favorite vegetable and definitely not one I prefer. So when I saw this salad called for peas, I knew there would not good chance of my husband trying seeing it had peas in it. I once made a tuna casserole with peas in it and he hated it. So, I made this classic salad without the peas, I don't know if that still makes it classic, but my family enjoyed it, well my girls would have liked it better without the red onion.
