I love making snacks for my family on family fun night. Although it doesn’t happen as often as I would like. Our family fun night in on Friday and after working all day, well all week and then if I have to make dinner, the last thing I want to do it more cooking. I'm usually tired from the week and all I want to do is relax.
However, this snack was so easy to make. All I had to do was brown some sausage and dump everything into a crock pot and let the crock pot do the work. I used hot sausage to give the dip a little bit more of a spicy kick, besides just the jalapeño. You can also use hot salsa for even more of a spicy kick.
Crock Pot Spicy Sausage Dip

- 16 ounces hot breakfast sausage roll
- 16 ounces light sour cream
- 8 ounces light cream cheese, softened and cut into small cubes
- 8 ounces Colby jack cheese, shredded
- 1 jalapeño, finely diced
- 1 cup salsa
For Serving(not included in nutritional info):
- tortilla chips
Directions:
- In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the sausage breaking it up as it cooks. Drain the sausage and transfer it to a crock pot.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients to a crock pot and stir to mix.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2 hours.
- Stir well before serving, making sure the cream cheese is completely incorporated.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
Enjoy!!!
