Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders

Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I love roast beef sandwiches! When I gave up eating fast food, I missed Arby's the most! Their beef and cheddar sandwich with curly fries dipped in horsey sauce was the best! This sandwich reminded me of Arby's only way better. The buttery topping is what made this sandwich so delicious.

The first time I made these sliders, I used regular sliced cheddar cheese, not thin sliced and the cheese did not melt very well. In order for the cheese to melt well you need to use thin sliced. You could try using less of the regular sliced cheese, but when I used the thin sliced it melted much better and I did not have to worry about trying to figure out how much regular sliced cheese to use.

Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1- 12 count package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 ounces thinly sliced roast beef
  • 6-12 ounces thin sliced extra sharp cheddar cheese slices
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons minced dried onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º F. Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with foil and then spray with cooking spray.
  2. Leaving the rolls attached to each other, carefully slice them in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Place half of the roast beef on top of the rolls. Layer all of the cheese on top of the roast beef. Place  the remaining roast beef on top of the cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  4. In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, dried onions and pepper.
  5. Evenly pour the butter mixture over top of the rolls. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and let rest for 10 minutes, allowing the butter mixture to soak in.
  6. Bake covered for 20 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes.
  7. Slice into individual rolls and serve.
Enjoy!!!
