How can you go wrong with strawberries in your oatmeal!? To make this recipe perfect for any season you can use either frozen strawberries or fresh. If you use frozen you do not even need to defrost them first. This recipe could not be any easier.
Vanilla Strawberry Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup strawberries, diced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
Directions:
- In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, milk and vanilla extract.
- Bring the mixture just to a boil, stir in the oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook stirring often until creamy and the oats are softened, about 4-5 minutes.
