I know everyone has their feelings about pickles. For me it is dill all the way, I love them! Do not give me any bread and butter or sweet, I do not like them at all.
This sandwich takes some of my favorite sandwich ingredients and combines them into one incredibly delicious grilled sandwich. Melted Swiss cheese with salami and crunch dill pickles, it's a combination that makes my tummy happy!
Salami and Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese
Ingredients:
- 8 slices bread
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 12-16 slices hard salami
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
- 8-12 dill pickle sandwich slices
Directions:
- Preheat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
- Place the dill pickle slices onto several pieces of paper towel to drain.
- Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese onto 4 slices of bread. Top the cheese with 3-4 slices of salami. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese onto the salami and top with 2-3 pickle slices.
- Place the sandwiches onto the hot skillet or griddle and press down lightly with a spatula. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwiches over and cook on the other side until golden brown and cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes.
Enjoy!!!
