Spaghetti and pizza come together to create this delicious and easy dinner.
Lately I have been having trouble finding a meal to please everyone in my family. It seems that on any given night only two out of the four of us like a meal, which makes it hard for me to decide if I should keep a recipe or not.
This dinner was the exception. Everyone liked it and wanted me to keep the recipe.
Spaghizza
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces spaghetti noodles
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3.5 ounces sliced pepperoni
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375º F. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package directions, cooking until al dente. Pour the noodles into a colander, rinse with cold water and drain well.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Stir in the parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and black pepper.
- Add in the spaghetti noodles and toss to coat in the egg mixture. Transfer the noodles to the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the spaghetti sauce over the noodles and top with half of the pepperoni. Sprinkle the cheese over top and top with remaining pepperoni. Sprinkle with additional grated parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are starting to turn golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!!!
Notes:
When you add the first layer of pepperoni you can add any other additional pizza toppings you would like. You can also add more pepperoni if desired.
