  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken beasts, about 2 pounds
  • black pepper to taste
  • 3/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375º F. Lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together the sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, lime juice and garlic until well mixed.
  3. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, heat the canola oil.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together the black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, dried thyme and dried basil.
  5. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the seasoning mix and add to the hot skillet. Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until just browned.
  6. Transfer the chicken to the prepare baking dish and pour the honey sriracha sauce over top. Turn each chicken breast over so each breast is completely covered in sauce.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum coil and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
  9. Remove the baking dish from the oven and transfer the chicken to another plate.
  10. Transfer 3 tablespoon of the sauce to a small bowl and whisk in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, whisking until well mixed.
  11. Pour the slurry back into the baking dish and whisk to combine. Place the chicken back into the baking dish and return to the oven and bake for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce has slightly thickened.
  12. Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the chicken stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  13. Spoon some sauce over the chicken when serving.
Enjoy!!!
