I was so excited to try this ice cream. I love Reese's Pieces and have been on a fluffernutter kick over the past few months.
The ice cream turned out absolutely delicious, just as I thought it would. The only issue I had with this ice cream was that all of the color came off of the Reese's Pieces. They may not have looked the best, but it sure did taste good.
Reese's Pieces Fluffernutter Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces Reese's Pieces
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
Directions:
- Place freezer safe container for storing the ice cream in the freezer.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the half and half and peanut butter until well mixed. Add in the heavy whipping cream and stir to mix.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and churn according to manufacturer's directions, adding in the Reese's Pieces during the last 5 minutes of churn time.
- When the ice cream is almost ready, microwave the marshmallow fluff in 10 seconds increment until it is a more spreadable consistency. Make sure the fluff does not get too warm.
- Take the storage container out of the freezer and transfer half of the ice cream into it. Top with half of the marshmallow fluff. Top with the remaining ice cream and then fluff. Using a knife, swirl the ice cream and fluff together a few times.
- Cover the container and freeze.
Enjoy!!!
