I love making ham in the crock pot. It gives me more space in the oven for other food items. This crock pot ham version is similar to one I have made before, but this one has a delicious sauce that you reduce on the stove after it cooks in the crock pot and pour over the ham to add so much flavor.
Crock Pot Brown Sugar Ham
Ingredients:
- 8 pound spiral cut ham
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup 100 % pineapple juice
Directions:
- Spray a 7-8 quart crock pot with cooking spray.
- Place the ham cut side down in the crock pot.
- Rub the brown sugar over the top and sides of the ham.
- Pour the maple syrup and pineapple juice over top of the ham.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until ham registers 140º F on a thermometer inserted into the thickest part.
- Transfer the ham to a cutting board and remove the slices from the bone. Transfer slices to a serving plate.
- Pour the liquid from the crock pot into a medium pan.
- Cook the liquid over medium-high heat until it comes to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the liquid has thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the sauce over the ham on the serving plate, or pour over individual servings.
