I finally did it! I made a gnocchi dish that my family really likes. I can't say they loved it, gnocchi is still not their favorite. However, they said they would eat it again as long as I did not make it too often.
The best part about my family liking this gnocchi dish, is how easy it is to prepare. It only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and you will have this delicious dish on the table.
Gnocchi Bake
Ingredients:
- 18 ounces frozen gnocchi
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 14 ounces pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350º F.
- Cook the gnocchi according to the package directions.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until crumbled and browned. Drain any grease.
- Add the spaghetti sauce to the skillet and stir to mix.
- Remove from the heat and gently stir in the cooked gnocchi and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the gnocchi to casserole dish and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and sauce is bubbly.
