This mousse is so easy to make and tastes absolutely amazing! My husband said it reminded him of cream cheese frosting and I have to say he is right. It is like a lighter fluffier version with a white chocolate flavor.
White Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1-3 tablespoons powdered sugar, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, beat the whipping cream on high until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Place a small bowl over a pot of simmering water and stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the white chocolate and the vanilla to the cream cheese and beat until well mixed.
- Fold in the whipped cream just until everything is combined. If the whipped cream is not combining easily, use a mixer and beat on low, just until combined. Do not over mix.
- Taste the mousse, if it is not sweet enough gently fold in 1 or 2 tablespoons or until the mousse is sweet enough.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Notes:
This recipe can be doubled to serve more people.
You can substitute white chocolate chips for the chopped white chocolate.
You can melt the white chocolate in the microwave, just heat in 30 second increments, stirring well after each time.
Serves 2.
