Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw

Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

My husband is a fan of coleslaw and since I love to make recipes with a twist on the original, this one seemed to be a good one for both of us.

Instead of mayonnaise this coleslaw uses ranch dressing and adds honey for sweetness and sriracha for some heat. My husband and I like things spicy so I used 2 tablespoons which gave it quite the spicy kick. I would suggest starting out with a little bit of sriracha and adding more after you taste.

Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounce bag coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup diced red pepper
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl toss together the coleslaw and red pepper.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together the ranch dressing, vinegar, honey, sriracha and lime juice.
  3. Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mix and toss to coat.
  4. Season with black pepper and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Enjoy!!!
