Mocha Mousse

Mocha Mousse: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Mmmm, mousse with coffee is oh so very delicious! A light and fluffy mousse with chocolate and coffee flavor is the best way to end a day. I really wish I had more of this mousse right now.

Mocha Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 teaspoons (1/4 ounce packet) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed hot coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl add the water.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin over top of the water and then stir to combine. Set aside for 1 minute, allowing the gelatin to absorb the water.
  3. Pour the hot coffee into the gelatin and stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved. Set aside to cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  5. Add in the powdered sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Beat on low speed just until combined.
  6. With mixer on low speed, while beating slowly pour the cooled coffee gelatin mixture.
  7. Return mixture to medium-high speed and beat until well blended and soft peaks form. Do not over mix as the mixture will firm up more as it chills.
  8. If desired spoon or pipe the mixture into individual serving glasses or bowl.
  9. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy!!!
