BLT Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Bacon Lettuce Tomato Grilled Cheese: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

My family loves grilled cheese sandwiches and BLT sandwiches, so why not combine the two. My oldest daughter took one bite and said it tasted like a BLT and grilled cheese sandwich. Well, mission accomplished, the sandwich tastes just like it is suppose to.

BLT Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 2 slices bread
  • miracle whip or mayonnaise
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato slices
Directions:
  1. Cook the bacon your preferred way.
  2. While the bacon cooks spread both slices of bread with desired amount of miracle whip or mayonnaise.
  3. Place on slice of cheese on each piece of bread.
  4. Top on slice of cheese with bacon slices, lettuce and tomato slices. Place other piece of bread with cheese on top.
  5. Place sandwich in a preheated skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown, lightly pressing down on the sandwich. Flip the sandwich and cook on the other side until golden brown.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
My family prefers miracle whip to mayo so that is what I used for these sandwiches.

If you want the sandwich to be cheesier, you could add 2 slices of cheese to each piece of bread. I was trying to keep the calories as low as I could, so I only added 1 slice to each piece of bread.
