One week when I was meal planning I choose a dip to make for family fun night and it called for whipped cream cheese. That got me to thinking if I could use a block of cream cheese instead or turn it into whipped cream cheese. After a quick internet search I discovered how really easy it is to turn a block of cream cheese into whipped cream cheese.
All you need is milk, a mixer and of course a block of cream cheese. This is going to come in handy for me as I almost always have blocks of cream cheese in my refrigerator. Plus if the recipe does not call for the whole container of cream cheese I will not end up with extra that I have to find a way to use.
Whipped Cream Cheese
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 3-5 tablespoons milk
Directions:
- Add the cream cheese to a bowl and beat with an electric mixer.
- Add in 3 tablespoon milk and beat until well combined.
- If the whipped cream cheese is too thick add in more milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Thank you 😊
