Crispy Oven Baked Seasoned French Fries

Crispy Oven Baked Seasoned French Fries: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Crispy fries are my favorite kind of fries and these fries bake up nice and crispy. Plus the seasoning on them gives them such good flavor. These fries are so good that I could eat them without any dipping sauce.

Crispy Oven Baked Seasoned French Fries

Ingredients:
    Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • French Fries
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
  1. In a small bowl combine all of the seasoning ingredients and set aside.
  2. Wash the potatoes and cut them into thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Place the fries in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Soak the fries for 30 minutes.
  4. Drain and rinse the fries and then lay them out on paper towels to dry.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400º F.
  6. Blot the fries with additional paper towels to absorb any remain moisture.
  7. Line two large baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  8. Rinse out and dry the bowl previously used.
  9. Add the potatoes to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Gently toss to coat the potatoes evenly.
  10. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over top of the potatoes and gently toss to evenly coat.
  11. Spread the fries out on the prepared baking sheets in a single layer. Do not overlap the fries or they will not get crispy.
  12. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the fries after 15 minutes.
  13. Remove the fries from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 425º F.
  14. Flip the fries and bake until the fries are nice and crispy.
Enjoy!!!

Notes: The fries need a little bit of space between each other on the baking sheets so they can bake up crispy.
