I already have a white chocolate hot chocolate recipe. In fact I think I may have two of them, one for the stove top and one for the crock pot. But when I saw one that was topped with a dark chocolate whipped cream, it sounded way to good to pass up.
The biggest issue I had with the recipe was that it called for cocoa powder, not dark chocolate cocoa powder. I am not sure why it was called dark chocolate whipped cream when there was no dark chocolate in it, but that was easy to fix.
The combination of the white hot chocolate and the dark chocolate whipped cream was delicious. When adding the whipped cream you can just spoon it on covering the top or you can use a piping bag to pipe it on top. I choose to just spoon it on, because I did not want any more dirty dishes that I would have to wash.

White Hot Chocolate
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, add in the whipping cream, powdered sugar, espresso powder and cocoa powder.
- Beat on low until everything is combined, then increase the speed and beat until soft peaks form. If you whip until stiff peaks for the whipped cream may be too heavy for the hot chocolate and sink. Refrigerate.

- In a saucepan add the milk and vanilla extract and bring to a low simmer over medium low heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and add in the white chocolate. Stir constantly until the chocolate has melted and combined with the milk.
- Pour the white hot chocolate into mugs and top with dark chocolate whipped cream.
