Crock Pot Fried Rice

Crock Pot Fried Rice: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

I never would of thought that fried rice could taste so good being made in a crock pot. Especially a recipe where you dump everything into the crock pot all at once, stir it and let it heat up. But I can tell you that it does. This fried rice tasted very similar to my stove top Fried Rice, but with less work.

  • 2 cups cooked rice, day old
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup frozen carrots and peas, thawed
  • 1 egg
Directions:
  1. Place all of the ingredients into a lightly sprayed crock pot.
  2. Stir to mix all of the ingredients together.
  3. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 3-4 hours.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
I have used both brown and white rice to make this and both work well.
