I never would of thought that fried rice could taste so good being made in a crock pot. Especially a recipe where you dump everything into the crock pot all at once, stir it and let it heat up. But I can tell you that it does. This fried rice tasted very similar to my stove top Fried Rice, but with less work.
Crock Pot Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice, day old
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup frozen carrots and peas, thawed
- 1 egg
- Place all of the ingredients into a lightly sprayed crock pot.
- Stir to mix all of the ingredients together.
- Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 3-4 hours.
Notes:
I have used both brown and white rice to make this and both work well.
