Around Christmas time my girls always seem to come home with a few candy canes. However, they typically do not like to eat the candy canes. So I tried out this recipe with hopes that it would help use up the candy canes that just sit around.
This white hot chocolate turned out delicious with a subtle peppermint flavor. If you prefer more of a peppermint flavor you can add more candy canes.
Candy Cane White Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fat free milk
- 1 candy cane, crushed
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Directions:
- Pour milk into a microwave safe mug and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Add in crushed candy cane and chocolate chips. Stir until melted.
- Microwave for 30 seconds and stir.
