These pita chips are so good and addicting. My husband could not stop eating them and I thought I was going to have to hide them. I myself could of easily eaten the entire batch right along with him.
Homemade Seasoned Pita Chips
Ingredients:
- 5- 6 inch pita breads
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350º F.
- Cut each pita in half and then cut each half into 4 pieces, creating a total of 8 wedges.
- Separate each wedge creating 16 wedges all together. Repeat with remaining pitas.
- Place all the pita wedges in a large bowl.
- Place the butter in a glass measuring cup and melt in the microwave.
- Pour butter over the pita wedges and toss gently to evenly coat.
- Sprinkle pita wedges with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning and toss gently until evenly coated.
- Place pita chips onto two large jelly roll sheets in a single layer.
- Bake for 6-8 minutes or until bottom side is nicely browned.
- Turn pita wedges over and bake for an additional 3-6 minutes or until bottom side is nicely browned.
- Store at room temperature.
