Oh my word! This dip is amazing! It tastes jut like a jalapeño popper and I should know because they are one of my favorite snack foods.
Jalapeño Popper Dip
Ingredients:
- 3 slices turkey bacon
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
- 8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 4 ounce can diced green chilies
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375º F.
- In a small skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and add in diced jalapeños and cook until soft.
- In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese, yogurt, 1 cup Mexican cheese, green chilies, garlic powder and hot sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Add in the bacon and jalapeños, stirring to combine.
- Spoon into a 8x8 baking dish.
- In a small bowl combine the bread crumbs and both cheese.
- Pour melted butter over top and mix well.
- Spread evenly over the top of the dip.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly brown and bubbly.
Notes:
You may substitute sour cream, miracle whip or mayonnaise in place of Greek yogurt.
