With just a few ingredients and a little bit of time you can be enjoying some yummy parmesan chicken.
Parmesan Chicken Pasta
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 cups spaghetti sauce
- 16 ounces spaghetti noodles
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to directions.
- Cut chicken in half horizontally.
- In a shallow dish whisk the egg. In another shallow dish combine the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and onion powder.
- In a skillet over medium high heat, heat up the olive oil.
- Dip both sides of the chicken breasts into the egg and then coat it with the panko mixture.
- Place coated chicken into hot oil. Cook until golden brown on both sides and completely cooked.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the spaghetti sauce, reserving some sauce.
- Place the chicken on the pasta and top with remaining sauce.
