Peanut Butter Waffles with Peanut Butter Syrup: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

These waffles are a must for any peanut butter lover. Peanut butter is added to the waffle batter for a great tasting peanut butter flavor. You might think that would be good enough on the peanut butter flavor, but to add even more peanut butter flavor the waffles are then topped with an easy peanut butter syrup.

Peanut Butter Waffles with Peanut Butter Syrup

Ingredients:

    Peanut Butter Waffles

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • Peanut Butter Syrup

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

    Peanut Butter Waffles

  1. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder.
  2. In another bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, vanilla extract and peanut butter until well incorporated.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir just until incorporated.
  4. Cook in a hot waffle iron.

    Peanut Butter Syrup

  1. Add the sugar and water to small saucepan and bring to a full boil.
  2. Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir until the peanut butter is completely melted and the syrup is smooth. The syrup will thicken slightly as it cools.
