Bacon Cheeseburger Quesadillas

Bacon Cheeseburger Quesadillas: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

The flavors of a bacon cheeseburger are now in a easy and delicious quesadilla. When preparing these it is important to taste the meat mixture after adding the ketchup and mustard to make sure it is to your liking. Just remember to start with a little, because you can always add more.

Bacon Cheeseburger Quesadillas

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • black pepper, to taste
  • ketchup, to taste
  • mustard, to taste
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • dill pickle slices
  • 8- 10 inch flour tortillas
Directions:
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel lined plate. Pour out some of the bacon fat, if there is any, leaving just a little. Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until completely cooked and crumbled. Drain off any excess grease. Return the bacon back to the skillet and season with black pepper. Add in desired amount of ketchup and mustard, tasting as you go until seasoned to your liking.
  2. In a separate nonstick skillet, over medium heat, add 1 tortilla. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup cheese evenly over the entire tortilla. On one half of the tortilla add some of the meat mixture and desired amount of dill pickles. Cook until the cheese has melted and the bottom of the tortilla has browned. Use a spatula and fold the tortilla in half, pressing the edges down lightly. Remove the tortilla from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining tortillas.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
I used turkey bacon in this recipe.
